Parents Ask Cop To Be Godfather After He Saved Their Choking Baby

Police Officer Kenneth Knox of Greenville, Georgia, had no idea he’d finish handling a 911 call last month with a wonderful new responsibility. Knox was dispatched to a home where a 2-month-old baby was choking on cereal and couldn’t breathe. The infant’s mother, Meona Parham, told WTVM that she had fed her daughter, Ma’Yavi, one hour earlier. “All of a sudden she started gasping for air and white stuff was coming out of her nose and mouth,” Parham told the station.
