Gareth Southgate: England Manager Bemoans ‘Mess’ After Slovenia Draw

England interim manager Gareth Southgate bemoaned the “mess” he had been left, after the national team’s disappointing 0-0 draw with Slovenia on Tuesday evening. Southgate won the first of his four games in charge, against Malta on Saturday in the FIFA 2018 World Cup qualifier, but was indebted to goalkeeper Joe Hart in Ljubljana as the on-loan Manchester City goalkeeper made a string of sublime saves.
