Student with Down syndrome grows colossal pumpkin, takes home prize

In a process that began in winter of last year and lasted all through the summer, Ben, a student from Beech Grove Bruderhof in Nonington, Kent, UK, grew a pumpkin that is bigger than we can comprehend. Coming in at 572 kg (1,248 lbs), Ben's pumpkin, which he has named Mario, took home first in the RHS London pumpkin competition.  SEE ALSO: Scared New Mom Receives Touching Advice From Kids With Down Syndrome "When we saw the other pumpkins, we knew ours would be first," Ben says in the video.
