GOP Sen. Fischer backs Trump despite call to step aside

WASHINGTON (AP) — Sen. Deb Fischer, a conservative GOP loyalist from Nebraska who just days ago called for Donald Trump to step aside, has swung back behind the embattled billionaire after he refused to quit the race. On Friday, Fischer said Trump's leaked 2005 remarks about grabbing women's genitals were "disgusting and totally unacceptable" and the freshman Republican called for Trump to "step aside and allow Mike Pence to serve as our party's nominee.
