Hypothyroidism Symptoms Linger Despite Medication Use, Normal Blood Tests

New research gives these patients--who often feel dismissed and forgotten--evidence that their persistent symptoms are not just in their heads. Research conducted by Bianco and other Rush colleagues published Oct. 6 in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism found that individuals on levothyroxine who had normal TSH levels were significantly more likely to be taking antidepressants than peers with normal thyroid function.
