NHL season preview and predictions 2016-17

After an exciting offseason full of twists and turns, the 2016-17 NHL season is finally ready to begin. The reigning Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins will have a long road to repeating, with many teams stacking their teams to copy the Penguins' approach. Many teams have improved while others have declined. That said, hockey is the most unpredictable of the major professional sports, so anything can happen.
