Not an Ironman this time

I hope this piece can help someone avoid an injury and learn from me. Since my last blog about the Santa Rosa Marathon on August 28 th, I had six weeks to recover, train and taper for Ironman Louisville. I wanted to qualify for Kona and get it out of the way a year ahead of time. I did two weeks of easy to moderate effort; no long, tempo or interval work outs, just jogs and spins on the road and gliding in the pool.
