Thea Musgrave's Ithaca

Thea Musgrave's 2010 Proms commission Ithaca will be performed by Londinium, conductor Andrew Griffiths, as part of their Seven Ages of Man concert on Friday 14 October 2016 at the Church of St Sepulchre without Newgate, Holborn Viaduct, London EC1A 2DQ. Ithaca sets a text by C P Cavafy, the Egyptian-born Greek poet, a celebration of life's journey in all its splendour, and Musgrave describes it as being ‘about the journey of life that we all undertake’.
