$65M state grant will fund hundreds of affordable housing units across LA

350 of the units will be for formerly homeless residents The state has awarded $64.6 million in grants to eco-friendly affordable housing projects across Los Angeles, Mayor Eric Garcetti announced Wednesday. That includes nearly $12 million toward the redevelopment of Watts’s Jordan Downs, which is being rebuilt into a mixed use complex with housing, retail, and restaurants.
