Countr launches to bring social shoppers one tab, one checkout

NEW YORK — For online shoppers who feel they’re in a one-sided relationship with their favorite shopping destinations, a New York City startup is setting out a solution called Countr. It is a new social shopping platform that says it lets shopper data work in their favor. “Countr started with a simple question: Wouldn’t it be great, if as online shoppers we use our data to our own advantage, and could have as much info as retailers?” Countr co-founder Manon Roux said in a phone interview.
