Here comes UMich consumer confidence...

The University of Michigan's preliminary consumer sentiment index for October will cross the wirest at 10 a.m. ET. Economists estimate that the index came in at 91.8 for October, according to Bloomberg. That would be a slight increase from September's final reading of 91.2. For what it's worth, Richard Curtin, the Surveys of Consumers chief economist, previously noted that although confidence rose for higher income households, the sentiment index remains more or less the same for households with incomes below $75,000 for the third consecutive month.
