Problems with overheating Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phones have prompted airlines to take extra steps to prevent a disaster during a flight.
The Transportation Department announced Friday it is banning Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phones from all airline flights after nearly 100 incidents of overheating.
Samsung has recalled more than 2.5 million of the phones after faulty batteries reportedly caused the device to catch fire.
