Cam Newton appears on track to return against Saints

Cam Newton’s on the sidelines, and the reigning NFC champion Carolina Panthers are in free-fall. These two facts are not unconnected. Newton took a shot to the head two weeks ago while loping into the end zone against the Falcons, and missed last week’s game against Tampa Bay with concussion symptoms. The Panthers lost both those games, and two others, and now sit in dead freaking last in the same division they owned just a year ago.
