Doña Habana Owners Could Take Over Monroe in Cambridge

The proposed concept is called La Fabrica An embattled Cambridge nightclub and restaurant could be gone for good. Central Square’s Monroe may be replaced by a new concept from some familiar faces in the Greater Boston restaurant scene, Boston Restaurant Talk reports. Cambridge’s license commission will consider transferring Monroe’s liquor license to a new concept called La Fabrica, which is apparently the work of Nivia Pina, who is also behind Vejigantes in the South End, Merengue in Roxbury, and the newly opened Doña Habana in Newmarket Square, according to a commission agenda.
