The Silent Dead review

The most recent addition to the complete review is my review of Honda Tetsuya's The Silent Dead. This is the first in a series, and I do appreciate the US (and UK) publishers actually starting at the beginning (almost a rarity with translated crime fiction series...) -- but I kind of wish they had stuck with the original Japanese title, the English ????????? (phonetically: 'Strawberry Night'; see also the Japanese edition) -- a fitting (it comes up in the story) but more or less nonsensical-in-English (as is often the case with Japanese attempts at appropriation.
