Cowboys star Ezekiel Elliott on pace to break the rookie rushing record

Eric Dickerson has held the NFL rookie rushing record since his debut season with the Los Angeles Rams in 1983. Well, his mark is in danger, thanks to a rookie from Ohio State named Ezekiel Elliott. SEE MORE: Terrelle Pryor continues to shine as a wide receiver Dickerson ran for 1,808 yards during his rookie campaign. Since Dickerson set the benchmark, Edgerrin James came the closest to dethroning him in 1999, when he rushed for 1,553 yards.
