San Jose childhood friends die in Arizona river drowning Childhood friends Jainish Patel and Bhavesh Patel, both 30, who were not related, were in the Fossil Creek area of Gila County swimming in the stream Saturday afternoon with family and friends on the riverbank. “Their families turned around, and when they turned back, they were gone,” said Lt. Tim Scott of the Gila County Sheriff’s Office.
