We've been talking about this for what? Years? Especially the upcoming retirements. Now the Tribune wakes up and gets in on the act? The plan to grow the size of the Chicago Police Department could mean hiring more than 2,200 police officers over the next two years.In a string of September announcements, Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson laid out a series of police staffing proposals.
