Uzer, a French-based smart trash-can manufacturer, is using a smart trash can dubbed Eugene to help drive up recycling rates in the country, according to Engadget. The country currently has some of the worst recycling in continental Europe. Uzer expects to have Eugene deployed in French cities sometime next year.
