Weaker pound: Ryanair trims profit forecast

Low-cost airline Ryanair trims full-year profit forecast by 5% because of the fall in the value of sterling. ||| Dublin - Ryanair trimmed its full-year profit forecast by 5 percent on Tuesday because of the fall in the value of sterling and said that average fares could drop by up to 15 percent this winter. Ryanair earns about a third of its revenues in sterling while about 20 percent of its costs are in the currency, a company spokesman said.
