Inflation is back!

Inflation is back in the UK, according to the latest official figures released on Tuesday morning. The Office for National Statistics says the consumer price index — the key measure of inflation in Britain — was up 1% on a year-on-year basis in September, well higher than the consensus forecast of economists of 0.8%, and up from 0.6% in August and July. As a result, inflation has now hit its highest level since late 2014.
