Newswire: CBS bids farewell to BrainDead, American Gothic

CBS has bid farewell to two summer shows you may or may not have known. Despite featuring a sex scene with documentary filmmaker Michael Moore, satire BrainDead has bitten the dust, along with family drama American Gothic. As The Hollywood Reporter notes, both got pretty bad ratings, but at least BrainDead was well-liked. The A.V. Club called the show, which was created by The Good Wife’s Robert and Michelle King, “clever, brisk, and compelling.
