Yahoo! Rising: Q3 Rev Misses, EPS Beats; Display Down 7%

Yahoo! (YHOO), whose advertising business is slated to be bought by Verizon Communications (VZ), this afternoon reported Q3 revenue that was just shy of analysts' expectations, but a healthy profit beat, sending its shares slightly higher in late trading. Revenue in the three months ended in September rose to $1.305 billion, yielding EPS of 20 cents, excluding some costs.
