The New York Jets' season is already in jeopardy after a 1-5 start, which featured momentous struggles by their starting quarterback, Ryan Fitzpatrick. But after head coach Todd Bowles spoke with the media on Tuesday, via Kimberly A. Martin of Newsday, Fitzpatrick might find himself on the bench in favor of Geno Smith: "They're backups for a reason, and if they get a chance to play, they better prove themselves to be worthy of playing, regardless of who the person is.
