The Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony will replace the Cavaliers’ Kevin Love in the 2017 NBA All-Star game, the NBA announced on Wednesday, after Love was ruled out for six weeks with a minor knee procedure. This is Anthony’s 10th appearance in the All-Star game in his 14-season career.
Anthony was chosen by NBA commissioner Adam Silver over arguably more deserving candidates in the Eastern Conference — namely, Bradley Beal, who is putting together a career year while staying healthy in Washington.
