How Texas Republicans are fighting to save the planet

Americans overwhelmingly want to protect the environment, and while the political extremes can't agree on "climate change," they can still forge a path for the US to curb it. Bipartisan solutions, like carbon pricing and renewable energy, do exist. And they could become reality in the next five years. While the federal government might need to eventually enact sweeping climate-change policies, businesses and cities are already leading the way because market forces — and public opinion — support climate action.
