Times columnist echoed my thoughts exactly with her column in the newspaper the other day directed at the London Labour MP, David Lammy.Stick to facts The Labour MP David Lammy is a passionate advocate for the poor and, having lost a friend in the Grenfell fire, also bereaved. But his recent statements about victim numbers border upon conspiracy theory. It is dangerous enough for the pop star Lily Allen to cry “cover-up” on TV, or for the columnists Yasmin Alibhai-Brown and George Monbiot to suggest that the lack of a definitive list of the dead shows official indifference.
