Pope Francis Congratulates Same-Sex Couple on their Children’s Baptism

Last week, a same-sex couple in Brazil received a surprise letter from Pope Francis, congratulating them for baptising their three children in the Roman Catholic Church. The letter, dated July 10 and signed by Monsignor Paolo Borgia of the Vatican Secretariat of State, stated, “Pope Francis wishes you happiness, invoking for your family the abundance of divine graces in order to live steadfastly and faithfully as good children of God and of the church.
