AVC Sessions: Broken Hope pays tribute to its roots with “Swamped-In Gorehog”

Welcome back to AVC Sessions. This week, Chicago’s own Broken Hope brought a little death metal to the A.V. Club studio. After being in hibernation for more than 10 years, the band returned in 2012. In the final performance from its session, the band performed “Swamped-In Gorehog,” the closing track from its 2017 album Mutilated And Assimilated, which serves as a tribute to its first album, 1991’s Swamped In Gore.
