A rough day for the Cubs. Jon Lester’s outing against the Reds on Thursday was rough from the outset, with him barely getting through two innings before leaving the game. He gave up seven hits and a walk, struck nobody out, and allowed a total of nine runs (seven of them earned). Because of his day, Lester’s ERA skyrocketed from a respectful 3.99 to 4.37 in a matter of two innings.
