Glasgow 'Gets' Equality

After a 12 year long fight Action 4 Equality Scotland has finally won its battle over equal pay with Glasgow City Council. The Court of Session (Scotland’s highest civil court) has decided today (18 August 2017) that Glasgow’s City Council’s pay arrangements provided less favourable treatment to thousands of low paid women’s jobs. The court’s decision opens the door to thousands of new claims from existing council staff and from former employees who left the City Council’s employment within the past 5 years.
