How to manually set up your Oculus Rift Guardian boundaries

Is there a way I can customize the Rift Guardian's borders The Oculus Rift has a Guardian system that you can manually set in the Rift's setup. This system keeps you from smashing into walls or your desk by displaying a virtual grid when you get near a spot you shouldn't be. The standard system does a suitable job by creating a square or rectangular playing space, but many people want to be able to customize the border to get around tables, chairs, and other obstacles.
