How 2017 college football’s many game cancellations could change the postseason for a few teams

This could change bowl eligibility for a few teams, but it’s unlikely to alter the Playoff picture or conference title games. During this year’s devastating hurricane season, a larger-than-usual amount of college football games have been postponed or canceled altogether. So far, 16 Division 1 games have changed in some way. Eight were canceled and won’t be made up this season, leaving the FBS teams involved to play 11-game schedules instead of the usual 12.
