Swedish summer house combines classic materials with modern looks

Bye—we’re moving Summer-house season is winding down, but that won’t stop us from coveting well-designed ones well into fall. Case in point: This enviable second house by design studio Tham & Videgård Arkitekter, not far from central Stockholm. Mixing classic materials (cedar cladding) with an exaggerated, modern, tent-like shape, the House on Krokholmen sits on one of the islands in the Stockholm archipelago, its form a nod to traditional architecture in the region.
