What is the world's position on Jerusalem?

Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas said Tuesday US President Donald Trump had informed him he intended to move the country's embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. If he does so and recognises the holy city as Israel's capital, Trump will break with decades of US policy and international consensus on the city.
