Universities are sponsoring competitive gamers with scholarships and facilities

Just a few years ago, eSports was a community for video gamers who gathered together at conventions to play CounterStrike, Call of Duty, or League of Legends. Today, the history of eSports continues to write itself, as media giants such as ESPN and Turner broadcast eSports tournaments and competitions where major cash is on the line. More and more schools have begun developing programs and degrees for students that wish to pursue a career in this industry, from degrees in the business of eSports to the design and development of video games themselves.
