There were several serious flaws with Stoke's Tory-led bid, and that was without announcing their (now scrapped) plans to fine homeless people found using a tent in the final days of the competition. What can you say? Spitefulness and stupidity are our Tory/Indy/UKIP council's trusty companions, and there's a very good chance this has cost the city dear.
