Coors Light 5K/10K runners brave freezing temps fitting the blue mountains on a beer can

Several thousand runners braved near freezing temperatures to participate in Saturday's inaugural Coors Light 5K/10K at Dallas City Hall. The 10K race took off first under the massive BMW Dallas Marathon start-finish structure that featured two jumbo screens and six BMW cars. The 5K runners started 20 minutes later, resulting in an action-packed finish line with runners from both races finishing together, in side-by-side chutes, at the intersection of Young and Akard streets.
