Searching through Amazon Prime yesterday afternoon, I came across a documentary entitled The Science of Fasting. Initially released in Europe, in 2011, it presents the findings of scientists from Russia, Germany, France and the United States.Long thought to "cleanse the body," fasting may offer significant benefits for those with a variety of chronic diseases, including the metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular disease, autoimmune disease and cancer.
