Facebook Extends ‘Rights Manager’ Copyright Tool To Instagram Videos

Facebook unveiled a piracy-fighting product called Rights Manager in 2016, which enables video owners to ‘Block’, ‘Monitor’, or ‘Manually Review’ any clips that commit copyright infringement -- much in the same vein as YouTube’s seminal Content ID tool, launched all the way back in 2007. And yesterday, Facebook shared in a blog post that it would be expanding Rights Manager availability to help users monitor their video and audio posts on Instagram, which it owns.
