Lam Research: Maybe They Should LBO, Says Credit Suisse

With semiconductor equipment companies not getting their due in terms of stock valuations, it may be time to consider having private equity firms do leveraged buyouts, write Credit Suisse analysts Farhan Ahmad and John Pitzer. In particular, the analysts think Lam Research (LRCX), Applied Materials (AMAT), and KLA-Tencor (KLAC), the three biggest, could all be “attractive” LBOs.
