Landry’s Seafood House Springs Open in the French Quarter

Just in time for Lent Landry’s Seafood House threw open its doors in the French Quarter today — just a couple of days before the start of Lent, when many in New Orleans turn their stomachs to a more seafood-based diet for 40 days. It’s located in the JAX Brewery, only a couple blocks from Landry’s original French Quarter location, which operated for over 20 years. Expect the standard Landry’s seafood fare (like blackened redfish étouffée and New Orleans barbecue shrimp), plus some items unique to the New Orleans area: Smoked onion butter snapper, blackened catfish Atchafalaya, smoked bacon-crusted scallops, shrimp and tasso pasta, crab-stuffed mahi, and bon temps shrimp and grits.
