The sequel to Prometheus (Filmstalker review) is moving forward so if a good script is placed in front of Ridley Scott then the chances are we'll see another film in the franchise, picking up from where we left off. Interestingly though they haven't decided to go with the original Prometheus writers, which I think is both good and bad news. Show More Summary
While Ridley Scott's Alien not-quite-prequel Prometheus was a box office success, many fans walked away disappointed with what they considered to be plot holes and unrealistic elements. Most of the blame was laid at the feet of screenwriter...Show More Summary

It's been just over a year since Prometheus hit the big screen last year, and the divisive Alien prequel from director Ridley Scott has a sequel that is finally making some progress. The Wrap reports that 20th Century Fox has just hired Jack Paglen to write Prometheus 2, though no details about where he will take the story are revealed. Show More Summary
Briefly: Do you want to see Prometheus 2? Personally, that’s a difficult question to answer. The ending of last year’s Ridley Scott film (warning: spoilers ahead) didn’t leave me hungry for more, but there’s still a framework there in which a good story could be told. Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender would likely feature in [...]
Ridley Scott's Prometheus was released last year on June 8 and 20th Century Fox and Scott Free Productions are already moving forward with the currently Untitled Prometheus Sequel --which may as well be called "Prometheus 2" until something...Show More Summary
The notion of a Blade Runner sequel wasn’t something a lot of sci-fi fans wanted to think about even before Ridley Scott made Prometheus. And now that we have that semi-prequel to Alien to take into account, it seems more than ever that Blade Runner might be better left alone. The new film is happening, [...]
Ridley Scott hasn’t even finished post-production on The Counselor yet, but Fox already has an eye on awards season for his next project. The studio has set a December 12, 2014 release for Scott’s Moses movie Exodus. That doesn’t leave Scott with a whole lot of room to do much else before jumping into Exodus [...]
It's been over three years since we heard anything about the romantic sci-fi film Passengers starring Keanu Reeves, and that was before the film's writer Jon Spaihts became more widely known after scripting Ridley Scott's Prometheus....Show More Summary
This week we spoke with Damon Lindelof about the sequel to Prometheus and, in the conversation, he mentioned that Ridley Scott was finishing The Counselor and had “Child 44 lined up right behind it.” That was an interesting statement, making it sound like Scott was directing the film. Scott is not directing the film, he’s producing, [...]
Insiders say that director Ridley Scott and 20th Century Fox are freaking out about where to take the story for this follow-up. [...]
The end of Ridley Scott‘s Prometheus is just the beginning of a new story. As Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) flies up into space it’s obvious that the prequel (of sorts) to Alien has more ground to cover. Some of the film’s questions were answered by the time the credits rolled, but many were not. The unresolved [...]
Prometheus star Noomi Rapace says she's met with director Ridley Scott and that the script is currently being worked on. [...]
Prometheus—it was one of the most highly-anticipated films of 2012, seeing as how it was a Ridley Scott-directed prequel to his sci-fi horror classic, Alien. In the end, it became one of the more controversial films of the year in terms of its reception, as the film—for the most part—fell far short of expectations and [...]
One of 2012?s most bickered about films was Ridley Scott‘s Prometheus. We started the year debating whether or not it was an Alien film. By the time we saw the movie we debated if it was good or not. Now that it’s on Blu-ray, we’re debating if it’s worth revisiting. Two people who certainly think [...]
With a project as massive as Prometheus, it’s nigh impossible to place blame on any single individual, but considering the original draft and the work he did adding incomprehensibility, it’s not unfair to ask Damon Lindelof what happened there. Show More Summary
The search for the meaning to the end could lead right back to the beginning. While debate still rages on about the merits or demerits of Ridley Scott's sci-fi Prometheus from last summer, I'm still optimistic about a sequel (or trilogy) answering unanswered questions and turning out drastically better. With The Counselor coming up next, sequels to Prometheus and Blade Runner in the works, and The Forever War further down the line in his busy schedule, it looks like iconic filmmaker Ridley Scott will be staying busy as a director for quite some time. Show More Summary

Damon Lindelof may be leaving Ridley Scott's Alien universe on a vague, quasi-philosophical note that leaves no one feeling fully satisfied, indicating this week that he won't be penning the sequel to Prometheus. Speaking to Collider, Lindelof talked first about the possible direction the Prometheus franchise-within-a-franchise could take, and then explained why he won't be [...]
