In the original Fire Emblem Gaiden, you could access a special Sound Test mode with a set of button inputs. Turns out the devs kept that feature for the remake, Shadows of Valentia. On the title screen, quickly press ? ? ? ? ?, which will unlock the sound test in the extras menu.
