This incident involves the case of Colonel James H. Johnson III. Colonel Johnson was of military royalty -- his father had commanded the 82nd Airborne Division. Then Col. Johnson ran afoul of any principle of military or even civilian law.

According to the Fayetteville Observer, COL James H. Johnson III avoided prison. This is bull shit...wrong...he should have been in jail for the rest of life. Guess if you are a West Point graduate and your daddy is a General the rules don’t apply.

Additional charges against the former head of the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, Col. James H. Johnson III, were dismissed Monday, a day after he pleaded guilty to 15 specifications, including bigamy, adultery and fraud.

The allegation is that the commander, JHJ III, now ousted, was making time with the Iraqi wife of his cultural advisor, and wound up lying on his travel records. No, I am not beating up on the airborne. They doing it to themselves.
The move was no big surprise because Army Col. James Johnson III already was suspended.
The Army has formally suspended Col. James H. Johnson III as commander of the 173rd Airborne Brigade, which has about 3,300 Soldiers in Italy and Germany. The Army took action Feb. 17, according to Col. Bryan Hilferty, chief of public affairs for U.S. Army Europe. No one else has been suspended or relieved in connection with Johnson's case, he said.
