We stumbled across some very special graffiti while slowing for a curve along the concrete banks of the Ballona Creek. This one goes out to the ladies who want some Marvin Gaye, some Luther Vandross, a little Anita. [ more › ]

What's so good?
“No Ordinary Love” is a new slow jam from an up-and-coming London-based R&B artist AZEKEL, whose flow is beautifully disarming while his lyrics reveal an understated intensity. Show More Summary
Internet folk hero Antoine Dodson, most recently seen slow jamming and pissing off his legions of fans by supporting Chik-fil-A, has apparently renounced his homosexuality for religious reasons. Do you hear that? No, it’s not the sound...Show More Summary
Human beings have been freezing food for millennia. For an overwhelming majority of that time, our ancestors used small rooms jammed full of salt and ice to slow freeze whatever it was they wanted to eat later. That process worked, but...Show More Summary

Aussie duo Standish/Carlyon follow-up “Nono/Yoyo” with the looming “Gucci Mountain.” It’s a crawling slow jam with building synths and wobbly falsetto — perfect for prom on the moon. Check it out below. Deleted Scenes is out 5/14 via Chapter Music.

Might be the best record of a sturdy batch of late. Den’s “Electric Eyes” 7-inch is mean, mighty, quick with the sword; they can rumble slow and hard or they can jam it a bit. Either way the sturdy James Plotkin (who engineers every record I review now) mix allows the project to digress without losing the buzz. Show More Summary
Here’s another psych-rock slow jam from White Fence’s upcoming record Cyclops Reap. Press play to hear Tim Presley layer about ten hazy guitar tracks with some abstract, reverb-fuzzed lyrics, and a shambling… Read more articles like "White Fence – To the Boy I Jumped in the Hemlock Alley 2" on PMA - Pretty Much Amazing.
White Fence is gearing up to release his album Cyclops Reap, from which we’ve already heard “Pink Gorilla” and “Fragility.” Its third sampling is “To The Boy,” a psych rock slow jam that really makes you understand why at some point, “groovy” was the adulatory phrase of choice when crunchy, blissed out riffs were on [...]
I posted this jam on my twitter timeline over a week ago, but I can’t stop thinking about it. Azekel and Dom McLennon sonically depict the act of falling into lust or rather that moment when you get “that feeling.” It starts slow at first, as you’re just getting to know each other, but then quickly climaxes [...]
Each week, we’re taking all of Justin Timberlake’s greatest tracks — from club cuts to ballads to sexy slow jams and collaborations — and pitting them head-to-head for an all out showdown until we’ve whittled it down to the last song standing. I may hail from Seattle, where grunge is still in fashion and where Nirvana and Pearl Jam still reign supreme, but I've secretly always wanted to live in the south so I could slow dance to Tim McGraw and sing Dolly Parton songs without getting funny looks. Show More Summary
The last week has seen probably the largest distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack ever. It’s being reported in fairly dramatic terms, with the New York Times and BBC talking about the internet getting jammed or slowed down. So what’s actually going on? Here’s a rundown of some key points: A what attack? DDoS attacks, as the... Read More

Is it possible to experience a “traffic jam” on the anecdotal information superhighway? The simple answer, yes! I noticed it around 9 hours ago, but did not give too much thought into it, thinking that my local ISP’s underwater cable somewhere is experiencing issues as normal, but it seems that there is more than meets the eye.
