Apple promised at WWDC 2012 that Retina MacBook Pro owners would soon be able to purchase a FireWire adapter. Weeks passed without news from Apple, but the Thunderbolt to FireWire Adapter cable is now available for immediate shipping from Apple's online store for $29.
