"To be good, a small luxury SUV needs to be a family car, a utility vehicle and a commuter car, and the reworked 2015 Volvo XC60 does all that. It provides an upscale environment and a dash of surprise —...

Volvo has invested heavily, engineering twin petrol and diesel four-cylinder engines of 2.0-litre capacity to challenge German competitors for power and economy, and on paper it has succeeded. [...]

Volvo has progressively updated its XC60 compact luxury SUV over the past few years, adding some great touches like the T6's innovative turbocharged, supercharged and efficient engine and a well-done digital instrument cluster. What Volvo didn't need to change was...
For a brand so intensely focused on safety, Volvo having a stellar backup camera is probably less startling than the fact that its latest four-cylinder engine we tested in the 2015 XC60 and S60 is both supercharged and turbocharged and...
Volvo's compact crossover got some new powertrain options for 2015 as well as additional upholstery and trim choices and some more available convenience features. Its interior tweaks don't affect how child-safety seats fit in the XC60's second row, however. Legroom...
The introduction of Volvo’s new Drive-E engines and eight-speed automatic transmission to the Australian line-up has made the S60, V60 and XC60 up to 20 per cent quicker and 29 per cent more fuel efficient than before. The pair of new turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder T5 petrol and D4 diesel engines replaces the existing T5 and [...]
Volvo’s Drive-E engines are now available to Australian customers, with the S60, V60 and XC60 being the first models to get the Drive-E treatment. Announced last year, the Drive-E power plants promise four-cylinder economy with six- or eight-cylinder performance, and will eventually replace up to eight engines in the Volvo range. Volvo is improving the luxury offered by the XC60 and S80 with upgrades to both models' Inscription packages for 2015. It is also making all of its models (other than the soon-to-be-replaced XC90) available with its new Drive-E engine...Show More Summary
Some news from Volvo. No, it’s not about the Chinese market S60L; you still can’t have that. But what you can have might be enough. Quoth the folks who requote the press releases at AutoGuide: Buyers of the XC60 and S80 can equip their cars with the upgrade, known as the inscription package. It includes […]
Volvo is looking to move high-end with a new Inscription package.
Beginning with the 2015 model year, Volvo’s S60, V60 and XC60 will come with the automaker’s new Drive-E Volvo Engine Architecture family of small three- and four-pot gasoline and diesel engines, laying the foundation for PHEVs down the road. Autoblog Green reports the VEA engines now making their way into 2015 models include a turbo/super-four […]
The Volvo XC60 and V60 are capable vehicles in both their segments, but having driven both of them back to back and comparing their specs, I can't imagine why one would spend more on the crossover than the wagon. Here lies, in my opinion, a strong business case to consider wagons over crossovers. Read more...
